APEC Advanced Practitioners Eye Chart (1.7M Working Demonstration Version)
This program will produce fixed and random letter eyecharts suitable for consulting room use
by optometrists and ophthalmologists. Cross cyl, fan, low contrast, childrens and
several other charts are included. This is a Windows 95/98 version.
This version can be upgraded to the full Consulting room version using a PIN number. Email andrew.field@debenlogic.co.uk

Vutest VDU Vision Screening Demonstration Program (450K)
This program will vision screen test VDU users, and refer failures for a full
professional eye examination. The use of such a program will greatly improve the
efficiency and cost of personnel management.
It is a DOS program, if you are using Windows95/98, you will need to set
it for the DOS full screen.
- Intermittant Computerised Photic Stimulator (49K)
This program will produce an intermittant red stimulation field,
together with a mouse orientated task for the patient to keep interest.
It will keep a record of the tasks done, and the time spent using it.
It is a DOS program, if you are using Windows95/98, you will need to set
it for the DOS full screen.
- Phoropter Practise Program. (144k)
A phoropter practise program, enables the user to practice refraction
and retinoscopy using an AO/Reichert type of phoropter. Move the unzipped files
into a folder used by your browser, then ask your browser to load a file
named "refrac.htm"
The movement of the retinoscopy reflex is not totally accurate.
This is a Java applet, and is enabled using an internet browser, such as
IE4, IE5 or Netscape 4.6.
- A visual-field plotter program, that will enable the user to plot the visual
field on a standard or laptop VDU is now available for download from Dr Howard Soloman's
Website at:-

- Convergence and Divergence training program (61K)
This program produces Red and Green images that can be made to converge
and diverge. There is a companion program available for patients to take home.
Must be run with a DOS Full Screen in Windows95/98.
- Over Rx Program (44K)
This program will calculate the additive powers of 2 toric lenses,
and also the corneal power of a spectacle lens, given the BVD.
