SeeDrive© calculates the size of the number plate on your screen, and recommends the correct easy room distance for you to test your sight.
However, you should be aware that Seedrive's number plates are easier to read because monitor brightness is usually better that real number plates.

If you fail this test you should not be driving, and you are strongly recommended to have your sight tested and eyes examined.
If you wear spectacles for driving, you should of course be wearing them for this test as well.
NB The law states that driver's must be able to read a number plate at 20.5 metres in good daylight.
This is not a difficult standard to attain, and most people should be able to pass this test with ease.
People over 65 should be particularly vigilant about checking their fitness to drive.
