Current optometric application/s (UK):- none.
Indications for use:- management of ocular inflammation associated with surgical procedures inside the eye, e.g. cataract operations.
Contraindication/s:- known allergy (sensitivity), avoid use in patients with known sensitivity to other NSAID's (including ASA); not for use in pregnancy and lactation.
Special precaution/s:- safety and efficacy in children has not been established; consider potential for interactions with systemic heparin or warfarin (anti-coagulant therapies).
Adverse drug reaction/s:- transient ocular irritation. Comment's: - NEW PHARMACEUTICAL - any adverse reaction should be reported to CSM.

Indications for use:- management of allergic conjunctivitis
Contraindication's :- known allergy (sensitivity)
Special precautions:- limit use in pregnancy and lactation; safety and efficacy in children below the age of 4 years has not been established.
Adverse drug reaction/s:- transient ocular irritation.
Comment's: - patient's should be advised that the efficacy of ALOMIDE therapy requires regular dosing, as indicated.
