Current optometric application/s (UK):- cycloplegia, prolonged mydriasis. Amblyopia therapy.
Contraindication/s:- narrow angle glaucoma.
Drug interaction/s:-
Special precaution/s:- narrow angles.
Adverse drug reaction/s:- check for photophobia, psychotic reactions, increased heart rate and cardio-vascular effects, and flushing.
Comment/s:- cycloplegia and mydriasis are difficult to reverse. Temporary digital occlusion of puncta recommended.
